About the event
As the days get shorter and the holiday season begins, life has a way of speeding up.
This gathering is an invitation to do the opposite.
Every Sunday evening, people from all over Los Angeles gather on Venice Beach for one of the city's longest-running traditions; the Venice Drum Circle.
As the sun sets, the beach fills with music, dancing, hula hoopers, the light-up bike parade, and people simply enjoying being together. There's something incredibly grounding about being surrounded by so much life while watching another day come to an end.
Our journal circle takes place just beside all of that.
We'll gather together on the sand, begin with a short grounding meditation, and spend a few moments enjoying the rhythm and energy of the drum circle before settling in with this month's Letting Go Journal.
