About the event
Making friends as an adult is weird.
We're busy. We spend so much of our time working, running errands, and checking things off our to-do lists that it can be surprisingly hard to meet new people or have conversations that go a little deeper than, "So... what do you do?"
That's why I started these gatherings.
Every Sunday evening, people from all over Los Angeles gather on Venice Beach for one of the city's longest-running traditions: the Venice Drum Circle.
As the sun begins to set, the beach comes alive with music, dancing, hula hoopers, the light-up bike parade, and people simply enjoying being together.
Our journal circle takes place just beside all of that.
